CNC Brake​/Laser Operator - CAD Designer

Job Brief

We are looking for a skilled CNC Operator to cut and join metals and other materials at our facilities. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. A CNC operator must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail.

Knowledge of different kinds of metals and their properties is essential.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
• Determine the appropriate tooling and forming methods based on drawing requirements
• Set up machines in according to specifications
• Misc manufacturing processes. Package, Countersink, Time Save, deburr, Daily machine P.M.
• Align components using calipers, rulers, clamp pieces, etc.
• Assemble fabricated components
• Repair machinery and other components as needed
• CAD design (Solidworks) as needed
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Requirements

• Proven working experience as CNC Laser Operator, CNC Brak Operator, & CAD (Solidworks) – 5 years
• Experience using a variety CNC fabrication equipment. Setup and calculation of bend deduction and part adjustments for material compensation.
• Experience adjusting CNC Laser/Brakes. Nest and sheet utilization
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Use measuring equipment. (Calipers & Tape measures)
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing
• Deftness and attention to detail
• Stand for long periods of time 6 – 8 hours a day
• Lift-up to 50-80 lbs.
• Able to obtain a forklift certification
• Team Player and ability to work overtime when required.
