Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of company properties according to guidelines, policies and procedures established by the Facilities Services Department. Responsibilities for this position include, but is not limited to: the completion of scheduled preventive maintenance programs, emergency repairs of a non-technical nature, painting, ceiling and roof repairs, lamp and ballast replacement, light carpentry, appliance repair, and plumbing calls.
Skills- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented
- Ability to recommend and communicate new ideas and project ideas
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Communicate and act in a professional and courteous manner with all employees and company contacts
- Regular attendance and punctuality are required
- Maintain and operate company vehicles in a safe manner
- Attend meetings as directed
- Maintain inventory for all parts and equipment
- Responsible for completion of daily logs and maintenance including observation and inspection of building systems
- Complete all preventive maintenance work orders within the guidelines established by the Facilities Department
- Responsible for the maintenance, repair and operation of: HVAC adjustments and filter changes
- Plumbing systems
- Can operate Fire Life Safety Systems
- General building aesthetics
- Equipment warranties
- General building maintenance and repairs
- Oversee pest control
- Police and monitor roads and grounds/landscaping
- Comply with all federal, state and company safety policies and directives
- Complete work orders in a neat and an efficient manner
- Learn the functions and operations of all building systems
- Be knowledgeable of safety policies
- Be knowledgeable of the proper use of tools and safety equipment necessary for the fulfillment of job responsibilities
- Work on various types of equipment with some supervision
- Ability to work inside and outside under various work and climatic conditions
- Ability to understand and follow explicit instructions, in oral and written format
