Seafood Clerk

Overview

The primary purpose of the Seafood/Meat Service clerk is to provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with seafood/meat selections including cutting, cleaning and preparing items to customers' specifications. A Seafood/Meat Clerk provides a high level of prompt and friendly customer service, assists customers with questions and special orders, ad needs, while maintaining a positive, customer-focused work environment.

• Use selling skills and merchandising programs to enhance customer interaction and achieve maximum sales.
• Provides polite friendly greetings and interacts with all customers as they approach the department.
• Prepares knife-ready products for sale (slice, trim, wrap, weigh and price) according to our standards.
• Assists in product receiving, inventory and storage.
• Stocks and rotates frozen items, prepared meats and fresh meat/seafood in the sales area.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat/seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers and sales floor.
• Maintains high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date.
• Communicate customer's requests/concerns to management.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent preferred.
• Prior work experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
