ResponsibilitiesThe Operations Manager is responsible for freight and logistics activities within the store and works closely with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to provide guidance to Logistics associates. Duties include facilitating training, delivering constructive feedback and coaching, maintaining loss prevention compliance, and upholding store visual and merchandising standards. The Operations Manager also serves as Leader on Duty, engaging customers to exceed their needs and driving revenue through sales culture.
In this role, the Operations Manager functions as a ‘Key Carrier’ while leading the team on duty.
- High School diploma or equivalent experience;
Bachelor’s degree preferred - Minimum two years of experience in retail, with supervisory experience in a sales‑driven, customer‑oriented environment
- Previous knowledge of safety regulations
- Experience with logistics and freight
- Advanced selling skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coach others in a professional environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to plan, prioritize and execute detailed instructions efficiently and timely
- Leadership capabilities – able to work independently and with others
- Adaptability to a changing environment with the ability to achieve goals under stress and ambiguity
- Proficiency with technology relevant to the role and access to information necessary to perform daily responsibilities
- Ability to process merchandise through a POS register system
- Knowledge of POS and Workforce Management Systems
- Positive, engaging, action‑oriented attitude
