The primary purpose of the Seafood/Meat Service Clerk is to provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with seafood/meat selections, including cutting, cleaning, and preparing items to customers' specifications. A Seafood/Meat Clerk provides a high level of prompt and friendly customer service, assists customers with questions and special orders, and maintains a positive, customer-focused work environment.

• Use selling skills and merchandising programs to enhance customer interaction and achieve maximum sales.
• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interact with all customers as they approach the department.
• Prepare knife-ready products for sale (slice, trim, wrap, weigh, and price) according to our standards.
• Assist in product receiving, inventory, and storage.
• Stock and rotate frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat/seafood in the sales area.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat/seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Maintain high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensure all products are in date.
• Communicate customers' requests/concerns to management.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
