Overview

SCHEELS offers a rewarding career for those who love sports, fitness, fashion or the outdoors. We provide extensive business and product training and opportunities for mentorship and professional development.

Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Availability required for a minimum of every other weekend or two weekends a month. Average hours per week: 20.

Earn $17.00 per hour plus a GREAT Associate Discount on all in-store purchases.

• Prepare all fudge products and sell to customers.
• Perform all Ginna’s restaurant functions, which may include deli line, barista, grill, ice cream, baked goods, fudge and other duties as assigned by Ginna’s Manager and Supervisors.
• Follow all food safety guidelines by state and local ordinances.
• Ensure all products are received and stored according to Standard Operating Guidelines.
• Assist in training all new associates using kitchen tools, mentor checklists and Standard Operating Guidelines.
• Ensure cash control and till management follow Scheels Cashier Guidelines.
• Manage and support side work, daily and detail cleaning schedules, opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain working knowledge of Café recipes and prepared foods.
• Maintain an orderly and exceptionally clean appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas.
• Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and follow Scheels’ policies and procedures.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds; perform operations using units of American money, weight, volume and distance.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organization.
• Work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Prepare various types of food, drinks and ingredients.

The ideal candidate will have a high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Please be aware that our food may contain or come in contact with common allergens. Be able to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Medium work: exert 20 to 50 pounds occasionally, 10–25 pounds frequently, and greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly. Safety procedures must be followed to minimize risk of injury.
