RN Surgical Services OR Manager

Overview

A busy, high-performing surgical department in Overland Park is seeking an experienced RN Surgical Services – OR Manager to lead perioperative operations. This department performs 550+ surgical cases per month across 11 OR suites and supports a Level II Trauma program. The OR Manager provides leadership for preadmission testing, pre-op, intra-op, and post-op services, ensuring excellence across the full perioperative continuum.

• Oversee planning, assessment, implementation, and evaluation of perioperative nursing care
• Manage day-to-day OR operations including staffing, scheduling, and workflow optimization
• Ensure regulatory compliance and support quality and patient safety initiatives
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical departments for coordinated care
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for approximately 40 FTEs
• Manage departmental resources and budgets responsibly
  
  Support continuous process improvement and promote a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence
• Maintain clinical competency to support perioperative teams when needed

• Minimum 3 years of recent acute-care OR management experience
• Active RN license (state or compact)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Ability to obtain and maintain BLS, ACLS, and PALS

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN);
  Master’s preferred
• Specialty certification (e.g., CPAN, CNOR, or perioperative certification)
• Experience leading OR teams in high-volume surgical environments
