Heartland Special Needs Foundation was formed by passionate, kind, and giving people who strive to make a difference in our special needs community in Kansas City by providing free education, funding under-funded trusts and connecting others in the special needs community together.
The Development Committee is responsible for designing, coordinating, and executing fundraising strategies and events - including helping with the KC Special Needs Conference - to ensure the Foundation meets its annual financial goals as determined by the Board of Directors. The committee leads efforts to build donor engagement, identify and secure grant funding, diversify fundraising activities, and create a sustainable funding base for the Heartland Special Needs Foundation’s mission and programs.
