Job Summary:
Are you energized by connecting people, building partnerships, and helping broadband providers strengthen the way they serve their communities? As the Marketing Director at the National Content and Technology Cooperative (NCTC), you will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies that promote NCTC solutions and initiatives across business lines. You will be responsible for collaborating with internal teams and external partners to articulate NCTC’s value proposition to drive success with its membership.
Responsibilities include managing marketing operations, creating go-to-market strategies, defining product positioning, monitoring industry trends, and driving member awareness and adoption of NCTC products and services.
Supervisory Responsibilities This role may have one or more direct reports depending on volume of responsibilities and area(s) of internal marketing support and focus.
About NCTCNCTC is a not-for-profit buying cooperative supporting hundreds of entrepreneurial broadband and telecom companies nationwide. We utilize our collective buying power to generate transactional efficiencies, providing our members with better deals on a wide variety of products and services that help members to innovate technology, distribute video and content including streaming services, purchase hardware, and develop connectivity – so they can focus on serving their customers and connecting with their communities.
Responsibilities& Essential Functions
Responsibilities include:

- Oversee Marketing Plans:
Oversee external agency partnerships to ensure alignment with approved statements of work, deliverables, and success metrics within agreed timelines. - Provide Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals. Evaluate market trends and member needs to influence product development. Regularly conduct market research, competitive analysis, and forecasting to inform decisions. - Campaign Development & Execution:
Create brand and solution-based marketing plans, including positioning and creative tools for member campaigns and resources. Develop integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels on a recurring basis, including SEO/SEM, social media, and content marketing. Leverage marketing automation and CRM systems (e.g., Hub Spot, Sugar Market) to monitor and optimize campaign performance. - Collaborate with Internal Teams and NCTC Membership:
Collaborate proactively with sales, finance, legal, business development, and account management on RFPs, partner marketing, communications, and reporting. Present product benefits to internal and external membership stakeholders through clear, compelling messaging. - Performance & Analytics:
Drive data-driven decision-making by defining KPIs and analyzing marketing performance metrics. Develop reporting frameworks to measure campaign success and recommend improvements. - Develop Expertise in Industry Needs and Practices:
Maintain expertise in telecom technologies, broadband services, and emerging trends (e.g., 5G, IoT, AI). Translate technical concepts into compelling marketing narratives that resonate with members.
- Travel expectations are approximately 15% including occasional weekends for conferences.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 7–10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in developing and executing marketing strategies for B2B and B2C products/services, ideally within telecom, broadband, or technology sectors.
- Expertise in go-to-market planning, brand positioning, and integrated campaigns.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and graphics programs, with ability to quickly learn product features and educate others.
- Strong organizational skills with consistent follow-through.
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Copywriting experience.
- Proficiency with Word Press, Canva, and CRM platforms. SUGAR CRM experience is a plus.
- Highly motivated, energetic self-starter, passionate and knowledgeable about the telecommunication industry.
- Travel expectations are approximately 15% including occasional weekends for conferences.
- Regular sustained concentration, extensive computer use, repetitive keyboarding, and regular phone communication will be required.
