This technical architect will develop, implement, and support network services and solutions for consulting clients while mentoring and sharing skills with others. This role builds a customer‑focused relationship with clients to identify business challenges and develop specifications and requirements to arrive at the best solution.

Roles and Responsibilities / Essential Functions- Collaborate with Practice Leads to create and maintain documents and procedures.
- Execute large projects on time and on budget in partnership with Project Managers and Practice Leads.
- Provide active leadership and communicate to the Project Management Team what is needed for success and lead Engineers to ensure tasks are completed accurately and timely.
- Lead engineering on multi‑technology projects.
- Provide daily updates on all projects and proactively communicate timelines, hours, resources, concerns, etc.
- Drive collaboration between business units to provide a world‑class experience for the customer.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and take a leadership role in team and customer meetings.
- Contribute to product selection, research, configuration standards, and best practices, and educate sales teams so they can sell these products and services.
- Work in a team atmosphere between regional and virtual practices while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
- Maintain current vendor/industry specific certifications and stay current on new products and solutions.
- Grow personally along the Engineering skills matrix, improving skill set in project experience, leadership, certifications, and technical expertise.
- Minimum 1,450 billed hours per fiscal year prorated based on start date; charge hour requirements balanced against professional development and on‑the‑job training.

- 5+ years in a technical related field.
- 6–8 years in a technical related field.
- 4+ years working as a Consultant.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent certifications.
- At least two or more professional level certifications.
- CCNP, CCP‑V, VCAP‑DCV, MCA.
- Experience designing and architecting network‑based solutions.
- Installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network switching and routing products.
- IOS, IOS‑XR, NX‑OS experience and best practices.
- Routing protocols – OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, L2/L3 Architecture and Design, Multicast, QoS.
- CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, ACMP, ACCP, ACCX, ACEAP, MCE or equivalent level certifications.
- Installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network switching and routing products.
- IOS, IOS‑XR, NX‑OS experience and best practices.
- Cisco Nexus technologies such as VDC, vPC, VXLAN, etc.
- Routing protocols – OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, L2/L3 Architecture and Design, Multicast, QoS.
- Cisco based ISR‑based VPN solutions such as FLEX‑VPN, GET‑VPN, or DMVPN.
- Data Center/Core design, configuration and implementation using Cisco Nexus Architecture (9K, 7K, 6K, 5K, 3K, 2K, 1000V).
- Software Defined Networking (SDA, SD‑WAN).
- Cisco/Meraki/Aruba Wireless – controller or autonomous based.
- Design using Ekahau or similar product.
- High Density/Manufacturing/Office/Education.
- Familiarity or experience with Meraki (Wireless, Security Products, Switches, SDWAN).
- Citrix Net Scaler ADC/SDWAN deployment a plus.
- Network security appliances – Cisco ASA/FTD, Palo Alto firewalls and related technology.
- Additional core technologies such as Riverbed, OpenDNS, Infoblox, Cisco Optical, Net Brain, Fire Eye, Solar Winds, SPLUNK.
