The CFO Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead all financial operations and drive strategic growth. This pivotal role demands a leader with a deep, practical understanding of accounting principles and a proven track record as a Corporate Controller. The CFO will oversee the areas of finance/accounting, IT, administration, legal, compliance, facilities management, business planning, and other key areas to support the mission and goals of the company.

The ideal candidate will bridge strategic financial planning with rigorous, day-to-day accounting management, ensuring the integrity of our financial data while guiding the company’s long‑term fiscal health. We are seeking a highly motivated self‑starter willing to engage in and learn about our dynamic organization and provide support and direction to team members.

Responsibilities
  • Accounting Oversight & Integrity: Direct all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed asset management. Ensure strict adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory compliance.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing insightful reports to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Audit & Compliance Management: Serve as the primary liaison for all internal and external audits (e.g., annual financial audits, tax audits). Implement and maintain robust internal controls and accounting procedures to mitigate risk and safeguard company assets.
  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Translate operational data into strategic business decisions. Partner with executive leadership to develop long‑term financial strategies, capital expenditure plans, and M&A activities.
  • Cash Flow & Working Capital Management: Optimize cash flow management, manage banking relationships, and oversee debt financing and investment portfolios.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and processes, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and manage the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and professional growth.
  • IT & Administration: Provide strategic direction for the IT and administrative departments, ensuring day‑to‑day operations run efficiently and infrastructure supports business objectives, managing cybersecurity risks, and optimizing technology investments.
  • Legal & Compliance: Oversee internal and external legal matters, ensuring the company operates within all local, state, and federal regulations. Manage corporate governance, risk management, contract negotiation, and litigation oversight.
  • Facilities Management: Direct the management of all physical properties and facilities, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑effective operations, including lease administration, space planning, and vendor management.
