Position Summary

The Supply Chain Director is responsible for developing and executing the overall supply chain strategy to ensure operational excellence across procurement, planning, production, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. This role provides strategic leadership, drives process improvements, strengthens supplier relationships, and ensures the end‑to‑end flow of goods and information meets organizational goals for cost, quality, service, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Lead long‑term capacity and demand planning to support growth initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends, risks, and opportunities to optimize the supply chain network.
  • Oversee sourcing and procurement of goods, materials, and services.
  • Establish and manage vendor performance metrics, contracts, and negotiations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all supply chain functions.
  • Implement and optimize systems such as ERP, MRP, WMS, TMS, and forecasting tools.
  • Oversee logistics network design, freight management, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
  • Develop inventory strategies to balance service levels, working capital, and turnover goals.
  • Monitor material availability, forecasting accuracy, and production alignment.
  • Lead cycle counting, inventory control, and root-cause analysis for variances.
  • Lead communication channels throughout the supply chain to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Build a high‑performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear performance goals and conduct regular evaluations.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or operations.
  • 5+ years of leadership or management experience.
  • Expertise with ERP/MRP systems and supply chain technologies.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to lead through change, influence cross‑functional teams, and drive results.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
