We're searching for a Sr. Engineer to design, validate and deploy technical solutions to maintain, improve, and evolve the T-Mobile End User Computing environment. Specific tasks may include the development and maintenance of designs and solutions. The priority of these solutions is to maximize reliability, performance, and efficiency while limiting costs and time to market. Responsibilities may include the evaluation and translation of requirements into design, evaluate design benefits and tradeoffs, validate design compliance and support deployment of the design to ensure the requirements were met.
Development of tools may be required in order to most efficiently tackle technical or business challenges including technology evolution, capacity management, and performance optimization. User documentation and presentation skills are required in order to convey design benefits to a wide range of audiences. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
- Technical System Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of end-user computing parameters and configurations, with proficiency in major client Operating Systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux), Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft Intune/Autopilot for optimal system management. Serve as a senior engineer for the foundational components, interactions, dependencies, and tools vital for comprehensive system design. Engage in independent study of current technology and develop a good understanding of adjacent processes and workflows.
Develop a proven understanding of the End User Computing data repositories to analyze and translate data to identify trends and environmental problems. - Technical Engineering Services: Support engineering projects through the application of sophisticated engineering practices; lead testing and inspections; produce detailed reports and complex analyses. Formulate and enhance procedures to validate, improve, and optimize end-user computing environments. Lead others through various scenarios and explain the variance and impact. Prepare vital user documentation to support environment and customer experience changes. Build appropriate validation tests and efficiently document results.
- Innovation: Develops, designs and implements new insights which improve end-user computing systems/processes/services. Investigative independent study and problem solving for non-routine tasks. Analyze existing processes and vendor roadmaps to highlight upcoming technology changes that would make the processes or tools more effective. Aims to improve designs, processes, or product by reducing cost, improving efficiency, or quality. Participates in brainstorming sessions and product and process improvement dialogues.
- Technical Writing: Writes sophisticated technical documentation that outlines the architecture, capabilities, limitations, and benefits of end-user computing technologies. Creates and modifies clear documentation on existing and new systems. Able to design and communicate technical system specifications and business requirements. Able to present complex ideas to non-technical audience.
- Technical Leadership: Supervise and stay informed about relevant industry technologies and standards. Present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical decision-makers. Continuously learns, builds content, and mentors others in specific subject areas. Collaborate with technical teams and apply system expertise to deliver technical solutions. Influence technology and policy decisions made across the appropriate functional organization.
