Job Summary and Qualifications The PRN Simulation Specialist is functions as an educational and clinical resource for Perinatal Outreach Program. Educational services include the implementation and instruction of established curriculum designed to meet the needs of the identified service facilities. The educator will function as a liaison to facilitate perinatal health, care for client, patient and their families and/or participant of health issues related to women and children.

Demonstrates knowledge and practical application of the theories and principles of adult education. Demonstrates professional growth, initiative and creativity. Able to troubleshoot and problem solve IT and audiovisual issues independently. The duties and responsibilities of the Simulation Specialist are centered around supporting facilities requesting outreach services.

Most responsibilities will involve those surrounding the simulations, such as:

• Travel to and from facilities

• Loading and unloading supplies

• Staying up to date on current evidence and research

Simulation specialists may also be asked to assist with some administrative duties, including by not limited to confirming appointments and meetings, maintaining and managing outreach inventory and supplies, and performing clerical duties.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Active RN in the state of practice. Certification in area of specialty required within 6 months of hire.
  • Minimum experience in NICU, OB/GYN, pediatrics, or women’s health care. Experience with group dynamics, public speaking and/or public relations preferred. Experience working with IT, audiovisual and digital media preferred.
