4/3 Day Assistant for Adults w Disabilities

Location: Overland Park, KS

Salary: $30,000.00 - $33,000.00

Schedule: 4 days a week (SUN/M/TU/W & THUR/FRI/SA)

• Utilize Person‑Centered Support plans to provide guidance, support, growth, and development opportunities to each core member with attentiveness and care.
• Act as a strong role model, fostering positive relationships among core members, families, and professionals.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure core‑member safety.
• Assist with meal preparation and home maintenance.
• Support core members with personal hygiene, appearance, laundry, meal prep, cleaning, personal finances, and leisure activities while promoting independence.
• Perform required documentation activities (financial, medication, behavior, etc.) while maintaining confidentiality.
• Transport core members as necessary.
• Administer medication and support house documentation.
• Participate in and complete all training and recertifications as required, both ongoing and at hire.
• Participate in community events and activities as appropriate.

• Exhibit respect and caring for core members and all involved in support of group home residents.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Problem‑solve and manage conflicts objectively.

• Experience with persons with developmental disabilities (highly preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Pass all required background checks.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification.

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
• Must perform activities of daily living such as cooking and cleaning.
• Willingness to assist in house maintenance/yard work.
