Kansas City Orthopedic Alliance is the largest, independently owned orthopedic specialty practice in the Kansas City metro area. We have over 50 medical providers practicing out of six locations. Each team focuses on the importance of customer service, communication, and caring for patients. We offer no weekends, no holidays, and no mandatory on call. Practice schedules are Monday through Friday. No weekends.
We are seeking a part-time Medical Scribe 20-24 hours per week. The ideal candidate is a Pre-Med or Pre-PA Student graduating with an undergrad and taking a year gap before starting Medical or PA School. This part time work schedule expected to be in clinic with your provider and off when they are in surgery or off. PTO is earned on a prorated basis.
Job Function:
Individuals filling this position with our organization play a vital role in ensuring accuracy with communication by inputting information into our electronic medical record during patient-provider interactions in-clinic. The scribe accompanies the physician into the patient’s exam room in order to transcribe a history and physical exam, and document accurately the physician’s encounter with the patient and others present. The role of the scribe is to ensure documentation is transcribed into the patients file, orders including lab test, radiology tests, medications, etc.
Travel is expected between Overland Park, Shawnee Mission and Belton clinics.
