The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs laboratory analysis requiring a complex network of steps & variables. Confirms & verifies, correlates & interprets test results utilizing in-depth knowledge of techniques, principles, instruments, & physiology. Recognizes technical, instrumental & physiological problems, identifies the cause & evaluates alternative solutions. Operates, maintains, & repairs equipment. Establishes & monitors quality assurance programs.

• Shares technical knowledge with co‑workers; assists with training & orientation of new employees/students & serves as a resource to current staff, students, & physicians.
• Demonstrates initiative in work and other activities.
• Adjusts to changing customer needs by adapting work habits, schedules, or matters of personal convenience to improve service.
• Attendance pattern reflects commitment to job requirements & patient care needs.
• Demonstrates & models positive behaviors which are supportive of change.

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• +1 year of position‑related experience preferred.
• ASCP - Medical Technologist or equivalent, or advanced degree meeting CLIA 88 standards for high‑complexity testing.
• Certification or equivalent required within 90 days.

• No previous experience required.
• Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) certification or equivalent, or advanced degree meeting CLIA 88 standards for high‑complexity testing.
• Certification or equivalent required upon 90‑day evaluation date.

The salary range reflects the anticipated base pay range for this position. Individual compensation is determined based on skills, experience and other relevant factors within this pay range. The minimums and maximums for each position may vary based on geographical location.
