The MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ systems and blood‑flow studies. The MRI Tech presents images and patient information/history to the radiologist so that a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to the referring physician.

• Assist and position patients with compassion.
• Start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
• Assess image quality and make adjustments when needed.
• Release patients with proper post‑procedure instructions.
• Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

• Graduate of an accredited school or college with a certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• ARRT MR preferred upon hire or must become registry eligible for ARRT MR within 1 year of hire. Must complete registry within 6 months following hire.
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• 2–3 years MRI experience preferred.
• On‑call required. Must be able to report to the facility within one hour of call back.
