The major duties of this job involve connecting quickly with people in a poised, convincing, and enthusiastic way. The role requires working at a fast pace and collaborating with others to complete tasks. It includes motivating others, setting and reaching goals, and ensuring tasks are completed timely. Decisions are often made under pressure and may require input from others. Tasks may include selling or persuading others and may involve training.
The job encompasses controlling all aspects of tasks from initiation to completion.
As a Private Banker, you will be the main point of contact for a select group of NBH’s affluent clients. You will establish entrusted banker-client relationships and coordinate client financial needs through a disciplined, proactive approach across multiple lines of business and service/support teams. You will protect client and bank information and follow Client Privacy and Information Policy & Procedures for communication with clients, vendors, and associates.
You will study and understand broad local and national economic and business issues to engage in fluent advisory discussions with affluent clients. You will also work toward quarterly and annual sales and service goals, participate in community and professional organizations, and build rapport with clients and colleagues, treating others with respect regardless of status or position.
All associates are expected to maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements. This position requires compliance with mortgage regulatory requirements and NBH policies, with ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents. A valid driver’s license is required. Some travel may be required, and driving history will be verified.
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in progressive sales management, exceptional client service, and client/prospect calling experience.
- Must be/become registered and licensed in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) as required by the SAFE Act.
- Must comply with mortgage regulatory requirements and NBH's compliance policies; ongoing regulatory requirements and additional screening may apply.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
Driving may be required. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and driving history that meets the Bank’s standards. This information will be verified in a Motor Vehicle Report.
Desired QualificationsTo be considered an ideal candidate, you should possess some of the following qualifications:
- Previous Private Banking experience and exceptional client services experience.
- Previous Investment Management / Estate Planning / Trust Services experience and related designations.
- Previous sales experience in the banking and/or financial services industry.
- Bilingual language skills.
