If you enjoy working with financials and have a passion for financial analysis, we’d love for you to apply. Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills will serve you well in this role. At Cornerstone Bank you’ll feel included and know that your work makes a difference. You’ll have autonomy in your role but will also work together as part of a collective credit team, to provide and receive support.

As Credit Analyst you will assess the creditworthiness of potential commercial loan customers, including payment terms and credit limits, and identify special credit arrangements and deviations from standard terms of payment. Completing loan applications, including credit analyses and credit memorandums, and submitting to loan committees for approval is a primary function of your role.

We seek candidates who take pride in the accuracy of their work, have a strong attention to detail, and exhibit excellent time‑management skills. Working at Cornerstone Bank is different than working at big banks. Small business owners make up a significant portion of Cornerstone Bank’s client base. You’ll gain a better understanding of the overall operation of a community bank as well as play a critical part coordinating the commercial loan credit approval process, including processing credit applications, and initiating inquiries into customer’s bank and trade references.

You will generate financial ratios to evaluate customers’ financial status, compare liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of establishments being evaluated with those of similar establishments in the same industries and geographic locations.

At Cornerstone Bank, we value the work of our team members and understand the significant role you play in the overall success of the Bank. Your role is critical as you monitor the credit risk associated with customer accounts, establish and maintain customer credit files/database, and review customers’ credit histories. As a credit expert, you will also assist with the establishment and implementation of credit policy, prepare reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money, evaluate customer records and recommend payment plans based on applicable data.
