We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to work from our Overland Park, KS office. This role will provide data center site level financial analysis & accounting analysis across a complex and rapidly growing legal entity structure. Reporting to the Director of Site Accounting & Reporting, this highly visible role will partner across Facility Operations, Engineering and Asset Management teams.
WHATYOU WILL DO
- Review monthly financial results, assess variances to forecast and provide reporting for various levels of internal management reporting needs.
- Partner with department heads and operational leaders to provide financial results and support strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with FP&A, Asset Management and other departments to assist with financial budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Provide support for the annual internal and external audits.
- Assist on special projects, including accounting for significant transactions.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Responsible for supporting management initiatives including process standardization and simplification, financial analysis and research, and reporting.
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or Business Management with an emphasis in Accounting.
- Two or more years of experience in the accounting/financial reporting areas.
- CPA.
- Three or more years of experience in the accounting/financial reporting areas.
- Experience in public accounting at a Big 4 firm.
- MBA, or graduate finance related degree.
- Workday, Microsoft Great Plains or other large ERP systems experience.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
- A strategic thinker with an understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial processes.
- Professional agility.
- Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with automated accounting systems.
- Must have the ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrate willingness to partner across internal departments.
