Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is seeking a part‑time Receptionist to join our team in Kansas City, MO.

Base pay range: $15.00/hr – $15.00/hr.

Position Summary

An Andretti Receptionist is responsible for anticipating guest needs, exceeding guest service expectations, and maintaining a fun, exciting atmosphere at our indoor karting and family entertainment center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome visitors by greeting them in person, via email, or on the telephone.
  • Answer the telephone within the 2‑ring guideline and follow up on any calls missed.
  • Check, respond to, and disperse any voicemails or messages received to the appropriate persons.
  • Communicate and screen calls for department managers and Andretti management personnel.
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access to the reception desk.
  • Perform clerical receptionist duties such as filing, faxing, photocopying, and transcribing.
  • Receive and sort daily mail and deliveries.
  • Create and run documents using any Microsoft Office Suite application.
  • Anticipate and respond to guests in a friendly and positive manner with a sense of urgency.
  • Assist with guest recovery and notify the manager to ensure positive guest experiences.
  • Maintain a constant working knowledge of the Andretti brand, product, and policies and procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally while interacting enthusiastically with guests and co‑workers.
  • Work as a team player in meeting guests' needs and actively contribute to other departments.
  • Observe, instruct, and monitor guests for safety and guideline adherence.
  • Attend all required department and company meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with Andretti policies and procedures.
  • Be aware of and knowledgeable about facility emergency procedures.
  • Perform opening, running, and closing department duties as assigned.
  • Prior guest service or hospitality experience is preferred.
Skills & Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Desire and ability to be pleasant, upbeat, and sociable throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule to include days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Prior guest service or hospitality experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Walk or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Perform functions requiring organization, bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing, and occasional stocking up to 50 lbs.
  • Communicate quickly and accurately.
  • Work environment may include bright, dim, or flashing lights and loud sounds.
  • Require manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
  • Follow and maintain safety standards at all times.
