Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is seeking a part‑time Receptionist to join our team in Kansas City, MO.
Base pay range: $15.00/hr – $15.00/hr.
Position SummaryAn Andretti Receptionist is responsible for anticipating guest needs, exceeding guest service expectations, and maintaining a fun, exciting atmosphere at our indoor karting and family entertainment center.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome visitors by greeting them in person, via email, or on the telephone.
- Answer the telephone within the 2‑ring guideline and follow up on any calls missed.
- Check, respond to, and disperse any voicemails or messages received to the appropriate persons.
- Communicate and screen calls for department managers and Andretti management personnel.
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access to the reception desk.
- Perform clerical receptionist duties such as filing, faxing, photocopying, and transcribing.
- Receive and sort daily mail and deliveries.
- Create and run documents using any Microsoft Office Suite application.
- Anticipate and respond to guests in a friendly and positive manner with a sense of urgency.
- Assist with guest recovery and notify the manager to ensure positive guest experiences.
- Maintain a constant working knowledge of the Andretti brand, product, and policies and procedures.
- Communicate clearly and professionally while interacting enthusiastically with guests and co‑workers.
- Work as a team player in meeting guests' needs and actively contribute to other departments.
- Observe, instruct, and monitor guests for safety and guideline adherence.
- Attend all required department and company meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with Andretti policies and procedures.
- Be aware of and knowledgeable about facility emergency procedures.
- Perform opening, running, and closing department duties as assigned.
- Prior guest service or hospitality experience is preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Desire and ability to be pleasant, upbeat, and sociable throughout the workday.
- Ability to work a varied schedule to include days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Prior guest service or hospitality experience is preferred.
- Walk or stand for extended periods of time.
- Lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
- Perform functions requiring organization, bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing, and occasional stocking up to 50 lbs.
- Communicate quickly and accurately.
- Work environment may include bright, dim, or flashing lights and loud sounds.
- Require manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
- Follow and maintain safety standards at all times.
