Job SummaryAs a Summer Intern at Black & Veatch, you will play a meaningful role in addressing some of the world’s most critical infrastructure challenges. - Supervisors/Managers with opportunity to assess student’s skills and abilities

- Foster relationships with colleges and universities
- Under the supervision of a senior planner:
- Development of content for planning reports
- Development of report graphics, including mapping
- Assisting in the planning charrette process
- Developing presentation materials
- Working collaboratively with all disciplines
- Monitoring compliance with project requirements
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Suite
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS and AutoCAD
- Strong planning, design, visualization, and graphic skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills for preparing and presenting to clients
- Excellent interpersonal skills for facilitating relationships
- Creative problem‑solving skills to gather relevant information to solve design issues
- Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously
Working towards a Bachelor degree in engineering or professional degree in Sciences in area of expertise preferred with specialized training, or experience that uniquely qualifies the individual to perform the job responsibilities. Has completed a minimum of 2 years in an accredited college. No experience required. All applicants must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

This intern position is expected to be in the office on a full‑time basis.
