In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for complex, mission‑critical data center facilities, including hyperscale and colocation environments. You will work on technically demanding projects that require high reliability, energy and water efficiency, and coordination across multiple disciplines. This position offers opportunities for technical leadership, mentorship, and continued growth while supporting large‑scale infrastructure projects across Black & Veatch’s global portfolio

Key ResponsbilitiesLead design and construction activities, including project delivery methods such as traditional Design-Bid-Build and Alternative Conceptual-Bid-Build
Design
HVACandplumbingsystemsforprimarily Hyper Scaleand Colocation Data Center design associated with administrative and support spacesSupport additional areas such as Administrative, Warehouse, Maintenance, Workshop, Laboratory, Chemical Storage & Handling, Electrical Distribution Center, Low & Medium Voltage Switchgear, Pump Areas, Engine Generator, Blowers/Air Compressors, and Flammable & Combustible Liquids Storage.
Lead Data Center airflow CFD modeling studies for interior and exterior spaces
Conductenergyaudit/efficiency studies,code review/application,andsustainabledesign/LEEDapplication of sustainable strategies
Develop engineering skills while working on challenging projects
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
Previous experience inData Center/Mission Critical Design
Experience with construction support
Understanding of design differences in Hyper-scale, edge and colocation data centers.
Familiarity with Data Center tier rating systems
Stronge knowledge in Autodesk Revit
