As an entry‑level Civil Engineer, you will play a meaningful role in addressing some of the world’s most critical infrastructure challenges and contribute to diverse, impactful projects that support our clients’ goals.

• Read, understand, and apply departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and Black & Veatch policies and procedures.
• Develop an understanding and comply with the Black & Veatch quality program; support continuous improvement and change‑management efforts.
• Prepare less complex engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications, and studies of limited scope.
• Perform routine research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.
• Collect, assimilate, and manage data for engineering work.
• Prepare basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles used in similar engineering analysis.
• Understand and adhere to budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Share information with others as requested; coordinate with others when directed by supervisor or project leadership.
• Focus on the needs of internal clients while attempting to gain a basic understanding of external client preferences.
• May provide support to business development or pursuit activities.
• Share current knowledge of latest technology and processes.

• Masters degree in Geotechnical, Civil with an emphasis in geotechnical, or in geological engineering/Engineering Geology with adequate geotechnical and structural classes.
• Basic knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to the assigned engineering discipline.
• Basic industry knowledge and technology trends.
• Basic knowledge of company quality program.
• Basic knowledge of construction and constructability practices and principles.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in the applicant’s home country or the country where the professional is practicing. All applicants must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager direction, job performance and work assignments.

Annual compensation range: $78,802.50 – $92,402.10
