Overview
As a Civil/Structural Engineer, you’ll be part of a collaborative and innovative team focused on evaluating and designing structural systems that support power-generating facilities. This role is ideal for early-career professionals (1-3 years of experience) who are ready to grow their technical skills, take on meaningful challenges, and contribute to impactful infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities- Work alongside engineers from multiple disciplines to integrate civil and structural design with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
- Manage assignments with minimal oversight—balancing scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
- Produce accurate, code-compliant engineering documents such as drawings, calculations, and technical evaluations.
- Stay current with industry codes, standards, and safety practices, especially those relevant to the nuclear sector.
- Apply knowledge to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions aligned with client expectations and ENERCON’s rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) standards.
- Interface with client personnel and perform walk-downs of plant structures and systems while traveling to plant sites.
- Build strong relationships with clients through professional communication and quality engineering work.
- Completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil/structural engineering from an accredited university.
- Available to start in the next 1-2 months.
- Design modification experience preferred.
- Proficiency in preparing structural designs and using structural analysis/design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SAP
2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, and RISA-3D preferred. - Knowledge of industry standards and willingness to participate in prototyping and testing.
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members, presenting design proposals, and documenting design specifications.
- Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor and in teams.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, navigate client sites for walk-downs, work outside, and travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.
- For federal contract positions, only U.S. citizens will be considered.
- Pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks per company and client policies.
- Complete pre-interview assessments.

The salary range for this full-time position is $80,000.00 – $99,600.00. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, experience, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
