Mechanical Engineer
Direct hire with a client in Overland Park, KS (Remote).Indeed design and oversee mechanical systems for construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Salary Range: $100K/Year rapprochement to $120K/Yearly.
Job Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications using CAD software and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
- Select and specify mechanical equipment and materials, considering performance, sustainability, and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, vendors, and contractors to integrate mechanical systems into building designs and resolve technical challenges.
- Oversee construction phase activities, including issuing drawing revisions, responding to site queries, and managing commissioning processes.
- Perform quality control checks and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project specifications throughout design and implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent mechanical design experience.
- Minimum 5 years in mechanical engineering within the construction industry, focusing on HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and HVAC load calculation tools (e.g., TRACE 700).
- Strong understanding of mechanical system design principles, codes, and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, local building codes).

Pay Details: $100.00 to $120.00 per hour.
