Worker must be located within 50 miles of a non-federal office. HVAC and plumbing engineer interested in working on a diverse collection of building configurations. Under general supervision, capable of performing all aspects of conventional design engineering, analysis, and studies on new and existing structures.

The Mechanical Buildings Design Group provides HVAC and plumbing solutions for Client's Global projects. The Mechanical Engineer level 5 position is responsible for the engineering and design of the HVAC and plumbing systems in various types of facilities.

• Facility Types:
  Water Treatment, Power Generation buildings, and Substations.
• Systems: HVAC and Plumbing.
• Type of Areas:
  Waste water treatment buildings, Administrative, Warehouse, Maintenance, Workshop, Laboratory, Chemical Storage & Handling, Electrical Distribution Center, Low & Medium Voltage Switchgear, and Pump Areas.

• Energy Audit/Efficiency - Engineering studies, system performance reviews, and energy compliance calculations
• Code Review/Application - Facility review for code compliance.
• Sustainable Design/LEED - Application of sustainable strategies

• Minimum of 8 years related work experience.
• Self-Motivated, Problem Solving, Written Communications, Driven for Results, Quality Focused, Strong Listening Skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of engineering design principles and the following applicable design guides and standards related to HVAC, and plumbing system design.

• Computers generate HVAC Heatloads, energy modeling and HVAC equipment sizing.

• Revit 3D Modeling.
• Experience with large-scale water-cooled chillers is preferred.

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
