Our Nuclear Services Group is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for our Advanced Nuclear Division. In this role, you will lead the Engineering Unit to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality, while inspiring a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

- Project Delivery, Quality & Continuous Improvement:
Ensure schedules, budgets, and quality of deliverables are maintained; establish and enforce quality standards; maintain and execute Continuous Improvement Plans; approve engineering documents; account for project budget and schedule; drive continuous improvement through lessons learned. - Work Planning & Technical Leadership:
Define scope of work with Project Managers and Engineers; assign tasks to balance activities; provide technical leadership and resolution to technical issues through knowledge or collaboration with Subject Matter Experts. - Business Development & Client Engagement:
Aggressively support marketing efforts; lead proposal preparation; develop and maintain professional client relationships; assist in business plan development, market assessment, contract negotiation, and product/service development. - People Leadership & Talent Development:
Recruit, hire, develop, and retain staff; identify training opportunities; use deliverable review process as training; provide performance feedback; promote professional development; enforce company policies; identify future leaders. - Business Performance & Accountability:
Meet time goals for self and staff.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
- 10+ years design engineering experience in the Power Industry.
- Active PE license or willingness to obtain one.
- Prior experience with Advanced Nuclear and Small Modular Reactor technologies strongly desired.
- Experience with new design of power plant systems.
- Experience managing and coordinating complex BIM/3D models of plant systems.
- Experience with Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) or large‑scale delivery methods desired.
- Knowledge of applicable government codes and industry standards.
- Excellent organizational, time‑management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision‑making, and presentation skills.
- Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.
- Strong coordination, team‑building, and cross‑disciplinary collaboration skills.
- Ability to assess team strengths and adjust support/oversight.
- Ability to motivate team members and achieve goals with a positive leadership style aligned with ENERCON’s Defining Excellence fundamentals.
- Problem‑solving and scientific evaluation skills.
- Travel up to 25+% of the time, including at least one client visit per month and between ENERCON regional offices.
