The OpportunityAs Senior Electrical Engineer
, you lead conventional power generation projects, design electrical systems, and manage budgets and schedules.
- Lead project design, develop electrical drawings and complex engineering calculations.
- Create one‑line, three‑line diagrams, motor schematics, breaker control schematics, wiring diagrams, cable sizing and schedules.
- Perform load flow, short‑circuit, motor starting (ETAP or SKM), arc flash analysis (ETAP or SKM), protective relay settings, and battery and charger sizing.
- Develop equipment specifications, bills of materials, and man‑hour budgets.
- Attend on‑site meetings, investigate existing conditions, interface with clients and support construction.
- Use Project Wise, ETAP, AutoCAD, and other engineering software.
- Provide guidance on design standards, codes and B&V policies; maintain and update engineering standards.
- Apply B&V quality program; promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Prepare complex engineering deliverables for multi‑discipline projects; perform advanced calculations.
- Manage budget, schedule and quality; review lower‑level engineering work.
- Coordinate with internal/external teams on complex projects; define project schedules.
- Communicate client interests and develop approaches to meet client needs.
- Support business development activities and emerging client opportunities.
- Act as technical specialist, mentor junior staff, and contribute to succession planning.
Supervise subordinates, hire, and administer pay and career development.
Preferred Qualifications- Project lead experience in utility‑scale conventional power generation design.
- Experience with LV/MV conventional power generation (combined cycle, simple cycle).
- QA/QC and project lead experience.
- Familiarity with NEC and IEEE/ANSI standards.
- Knowledge of MV and LV switch gear, substation transformers, breakers, relays, inverters, batteries, cables and fiber optics.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 11 years related work experience.
- Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (PE License) where required.
