About the OpportunityElectrical Engineer – you will function as a technical specialist or project lead, providing guidance and expertise over project teams. Your primary focus will be on developing design change packages for operating nuclear plant facilities and delivering solutions for a more sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical guidance to project teams, including design guides, standards and engineering codes.
- Prepare complex engineering deliverables for larger or multiple projects: load flow, short circuit, motor starting (ETAP or SKM), arc flash analysis, protective relay settings, battery and charger sizing, etc.
- Develop and deliver electrical drawing deliverables – one line and three line diagrams, motor schematics, breaker control schematics, wiring diagrams, power cable sizing, cable schedules, interconnection diagrams and equipment layouts.
- Create electrical equipment specifications and Bills of Materials for procurement and construction.
- Prepare man‑hour budgets and schedules for projects and proposals.
- Attend on‑site meetings, investigate existing conditions, interface with clients and support construction.
- Use Microsoft Office, Project Wise, ETAP, SKM and AutoCAD to view and manipulate engineering drawings.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in Kansas or other required state.
- Project Lead experience and technical SME in nuclear plant design.
- Experience in nuclear power plant facility design or similar power generating infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program.
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
- Must successfully complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search) in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Position is based at our World Headquarters in Overland Park, KS, or one of the following regional offices:
Ann Arbor, MI;
Chattanooga, TN;
Cary, NC;
Gaithersburg, MD. Relocation eligible.
Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on manager discretion and job performance.

Salary RangeAnnual salary range: $103,987 – $219,360.
