Position:
Environmental Science & Sustainable Agriculture Lab Technician

Work Schedule:

Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM (12 hrs/week). Hybrid schedule not offered.

Starting Salary: $16.31‑$20.77 per hour, based on experience.

Position Summary

The primary job responsibility is to assist with the preparation and set up of Environmental Science and Sustainable Agriculture labs each week and facilitate the smooth delivery of lab courses.

Required Qualifications
  • Successful completion of college‑level Environmental Science courses and laboratory coursework in environmental science or a related science field.
Job Duties
  • Prepare and organize supplies as needed for Environmental Science and Sustainable Agriculture labs from an instructor‑provided list and set‑up/assemble them each week.
  • Maintain inventory, and provide a list of supplies needed to purchasing coordinator.
  • Maintain and calibrate scientific equipment, maintain power supplies for a variety of scientific equipment, inventory and label equipment, monitor equipment for replacement or maintenance issues.
  • Be available weekdays to drive a campus van to off‑campus laboratory activities, field trips, or site visits for Environmental Science and Sustainable Agriculture.
  • Assist Sustainable Agriculture faculty with sorting, packaging, and labeling produce and other duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
