Job Title: Senior Learning Assessment Analyst, Assessment, Evaluation, and Institutional Outcomes

Position Summary: Johnson County Community College (JCCC) inspires learning to transform lives and strengthen communities. The Senior Learning Assessment Analyst supports this mission by partnering with academic and administrative departments to support shared goals for continuous improvement and student success. The incumbent partners with departments by analyzing relevant data, providing guidance on how to develop goals based on data, and helping departments succeed by transforming goals into improvement plans.

The incumbent collaborates with faculty to strengthen their understanding and use of assessment practices that guide curriculum redesigns and strengthen student learning for improved student success.

Required Qualifications
  • Master's Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience, or Doctorate in related field with demonstrated skill set and experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience in a higher education field preferred.
Position Details Partnerships & Collaborative Leadership

Building and sustaining relationships to advance assessment and improvement. Establish and maintain partnerships with academic programs, Student Services and Engagement offices, and administrative units. Partner with colleagues on the development and maintenance of institution-wide assessment plans for academic programs and nonacademic offices. Partner with the Office of Faculty Development and the Center for Teaching and Learning to integrate assessment best practices.

Collaborate with Deans, Directors, and Chairs on data collection and use for program and office improvement. Support cross‑divisional collaboration with Institutional Research, Academic Affairs, Student Services and Engagement, and Information Services to embed assessment into institutional processes.

Assessment Leadership, Quality, and Alignment

Ensuring meaningful, aligned, and high‑quality assessment practices. Lead assessment processes, professional development, and training to enhance assessment quality across the college. Ensure alignment between course‑level, program‑level, and institutional learning outcomes (HLC Criterion 3.E). Develop and manage strategies that build a shared understanding of assessment in nonacademic administrative offices (HLC Criterion 4.C). Recommend strategies to improve student learning and program and office quality.

Program

Review & Continuous Improvement

Using structured review processes to strengthen learning and effectiveness. Lead coordination of program review processes across academic and administrative units (HLC Criterion 3.F). Use program review findings to help programs and offices refine practices that improve student learning and development. Collaborate with academic and administrative offices to close the loop on assessment findings (HLC Criterion 3.G).

Data Analysis, Tools, & Evidence‑Based Decision‑Making

Turning assessment data into actionable insight. Use statistical tools and analytics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Research and identify use cases for assessment and program/office review using Canvas, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software tools. Collaborate on data‑informed decision‑making to support program and office improvement (HLC Criterion 4.A).

Reporting, Communication, & Assessment Literacy

Making assessment accessible, usable, and transparent. Create guides, templates, and resources to support assessment literacy across campus. Prepare dashboards, reports, and summaries for faculty, leadership, and accreditation bodies. Communicate assessment results and improvement efforts clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
