Work Schedule, Hours per week: 11:00am to 5:00pm Saturday, up to 12 hours per week
Opportunity for hybrid schedule: No
Starting Salary Range: $23.16-$29.97 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.
Position SummaryRecommend, interpret, and locate library-offered information resources of all types to help faculty and students further teaching and learning.
Required QualificationsConsidered highly skilled and proficient in discipline. Conducts complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment. Requires a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution and 6+ years of relevant experience.
Position DetailsJob duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide reference services in-person and online using various mediums and sources for accessing research.
- Develop and provide library and information literacy instruction to individuals and classes.
- Select books and online resources to build organized collections.
- Design and update online/electronic and print guides to improve access and use of information, including but not limited to the navigation of databases, style and format guides, subject and course-specific guides, copyright, and plagiarism.
- Maintain Interlibrary Loan service and/or facilitate acquiring materials for patrons from outside the library.
- Share information on the use of facilities, resources, equipment, services, and policies.
- Provide advice and recommendations related to library subjects/services to the general public and other library staff.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable policies or regulations and an awareness of new technologies, trends, and advances in library services.
- Other duties as assigned.
