Starting Salary Range: $23.16 - $29.97 (determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume)
Position SummaryPlans and coordinates the College Success Transition Programs. Manages student applications, interviews possible participants, and coordinates with constituents. Maintains clear and accurate records on both participating schools and students. Advertises Transition into Post Secondary (TIPS) and other relevant courses across campus and through the community with written, online, and in-person content. Communicates with campus and community partners to provide a holistic approach to student success.
Assists in the daily operations of the program with both students and professors to align program with the participating high school students' learning and college transition needs. Teaching responsibilities include TIPS section as needed, and facilitation of TIPS coursework, speakers, texts, and learning strategies.
- Master's degree in Special Education or a relevant degree
- Experience in high school and higher education environments
- Knowledge of FERPA, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and other applicable laws
- Higher education teaching experience
- 3-5 years experience in leadership and/or program facilitation
- Outreach and Marketing – Effectively communicate and market transition programs with stakeholders
- Structures and implements transition programs
- Coordination – Connect campus and community partners to enhance student experiences and success
- Problem-Solving – Resolve academic, social, and other special issues that arise when transitioning students to a higher education environment
- Leadership and Facilitation – Instruct TIPS curriculum, guide students, and support faculty team
- Other duties as assigned
