Job Description

We are actively seeking a Senior Consultant/Associate Director to join the Construction Advisory & Disputes Team. We are seeking applicants that have a specialization in construction quantum delay analysis. This position is for a professional who has knowledge or experience with contract and/or change order management, critical path scheduling analysis, preparation of change orders or claims, cost analysis and quantification of damages, review of drawings and specifications, and other engineering and construction-related documents.

Responsibilities
  • The Candidate will primarily be involved in construction dispute resolution, claims preparation and analysis, forensic accounting, cost analysis, and providing project controls and contract administration support on live projects.
  • The Candidate will assist to the Quantum Expert(s) and/or the lead assistant. This individual will perform forensic delay analysis and contribute to the expert report preparation.
  • An individual is required who can show initiative, perform advanced data research, manage client relations and deliver to tight deadlines. This role will involve frequent client interaction and will require the successful candidate to prepare and make presentations to communicate results.
  • It is preferred that the individual has previous experience in providing consultancy services on substantial and/or complex disputes. They should be able to demonstrate experience in writing reports to a high level and have strong industry experience in large construction and engineering projects.
  • We anticipate that the successful candidate will have a good academic record and be able to demonstrate how they have distinguished themselves within their chosen field. They will be expected to work collaboratively with the team and deliver commissions to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Assisting in prompting the construction advisory services in the industry.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years (10+ years for Associate Director level) of experience in accounting or project management experience in the construction and engineering industry.
  • A recognized undergraduate degree in accounting, construction management, engineering quantity surveying, or similar from a leading university.
  • Minimum 5 years on‑site construction experience with engineering or construction firms, or a construction claim/dispute firm.
  • Excellent oral and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Professionalism and client facing ability, able to build trust.
  • A strong technical underpinning in project planning.
  • Relationship building and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in construction programming software (i.e., Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project).
  • A Flexible approach to their work.
  • An understanding of the demands of project‑based work, able to work under pressure and an ability to meet deadlines.
  • A sense of personal responsibility for the quality of their work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A post graduate qualification in construction law (or similar) is desirable but not essential.
  • Chartered professional status, or equivalent desired.
  • Fluent in English. Command of a second language is desired but not essential.
Physical & Mental Qualifications
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to travel for various assignments.
