Billing Analyst

The Billing Analyst is responsible for preparing timely and accurate billings for a professional services and technology organization. This individual assists in designing, implementing, and deploying policies and procedures, and streamlines existing billing processes. The successful candidate is customer‑focused, creative, and solution oriented, delivering high‑quality results while managing multiple concurrent initiatives.

• Complete the monthly billing cycle from recording and reporting billing items to creating accurate customer invoices.
• Create and report supporting documentation on invoices for both internal and customer needs.
• Document and deliver invoices per client specifications.
• Respond to customer inquiries related to services rendered.
• Analyze billing trends to identify inaccuracies and inefficiencies.
• Analyze contractual agreements to ensure services are invoiced correctly and comply with audit requirements.
• Report potential audit risks and contractual violations to internal business partners.
• Facilitate the creation and maintenance of contracts in the system to ensure alignment with contractual agreements.
• Engage with stakeholders for continuous improvements to billing processes.
• Research billing processes and report on potential improvement actions.
• Analyze SharePoint and compare with SAP to ensure correct internal business partner assignments and correct as necessary.
• Review all credit requests to confirm they meet audit requirements; report deficiencies.
• Test changes within QAS to ensure process/procedure changes work in the live environment; report deficiencies.
• Produce off‑calendar document‑review invoices by processing time within SAP, creating sales orders, and finalizing invoices.
• Utilize GRC to report outstanding contract assignments and provide reports to department analysts.
• Report on trends within contract creations that result in excess rejections.

• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related business area.
• Minimum 5 years of billing experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP Contract to Cash.

The compensation range for this role is $65,000 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus.
