Position Overview: The Director of Grocery, Frozen, and Dairy is responsible for leading the overall promotional strategy to drive sales, margin growth, and value image. This role is responsible for creation of ad promotions, loyalty initiatives, and vendor partnerships, ensuring alignment with company objectives and consumer trends.
Reporting Structure:
This position formally reports to the President of PCE
Status: This is a non-exempt position.

Key Competencies
Minimum of five years of grocery merchandising experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or supply chain preferred
Proficient with database applications tools
Organized planning skills
Knowledge of administrative procedures
Proficient math skills and basic accounting procedures
Proficient in use of e-mail and internet
Attention to detail and accuracy
Time management skills and the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
Self-starter
Analytical thinker
Solid knowledge and understanding of current technology programs
Assist and train new associates on current and new systems when needed

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions
Merchandising Strategy and Execution
Develop weekly ad plans that drive sales and support company initiatives
Manage ad margin and product mix to achieve margin and sales expectations
Meet with vendors to develop ad plans that will drive sales and support company initiatives
Lead weekly merchandising meeting with all four-ownership groups to finalize ads that drive sales and meet company initiatives
Coordinate data files for the weekly ad
Maintain ad files within the database
Support billing functions for ad revenue and store credits
Controlling basic accounting functions such as checking invoices
Build and coordinate reports for various datasets
· Build and ongoing maintenance of financial budgets
Office Support
Greet people entering organization
Prepare correspondence and documents
Provide general administrative and clerical support
Employee Relations
Support your company by completing additional tasks identified by management, assisting ownership groups as needed, gaining new skills when necessary and assist and train new associates on current and new systems when needed.
Physical Abilities

Essential Abilities
Able to sit for extended periods of time in an office setting.
Perform repetitive movements associated with typing and other clerical job tasks.

Pushing and pulling items to the proper locations as needed.
Lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 lbs.
