Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

An established, well known Johnson County company is seeking a CPA to add to their staff. Great work / life balance!

The Accountant will be responsible for variety of duties that include:

• Reviewing monthly financial statements for multiple entities
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, forecasts and budgets
• Reviewing financial information from past and present to identify future development opportunities and improvements
• Provide upper management with short and long-term financial objectives
• Work closely with Director of Finance and outside CPA firm with tax returns and annual financial statements
• Manage general ledger, revenue, AP and the Cash teams
• Identify and implement accounting process and policy
• Maintain banking relationships
• Maintain knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding accounting standards
• Position is hybrid

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years experience as an Accountant
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
• CPA is required (active or ability to get activated)
• Must live in the Kansas City area
• Strong communication skills
• Strong Microsoft Excel experience
