Accounting Associate

Spinal Simplicity is hiring for the next Accounting Associate to join our team. The accounting associate will provide a broad range of accounting and analytical support to the Accounting & Finance department, including key contributions to the timely and accurate completion of the monthly close and reporting process.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Assist in the processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card transactions and expense reports and ensure the proper codification of transactions.
• Record transactions in the general ledger in conformity with GAAP and company policy.
• Prepare or assist with general ledger account reconciliations and research and resolve any outstanding items.
• Collect and maintain vendor and customer account information.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly commission reports.
• Assist in the completion of month-end closing tasks and financial reporting as needed.
• Participate in the monthly and annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Assist the accounting team in providing timely information requests to external auditors.
• Assist the accounting team in the implementation of a new ERP system.
• Provide adhoc data requests and analysis as requested.

Requirements to be Successful in This Position:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferable)
• Intermediate working knowledge of all MS Office programs, advanced Excel skills preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to apply logic to various instances
• Excellent organizational skills, self-starter, and be able to handle routine and repetitive tasks.
• Willingness to learn new skills, ability to work well under pressure, adhere to strict deadlines, handle multiple interruptions, and ability to adjust priorities throughout the day.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, written skills, ability to develop and maintain strong communication with team members and external partners.
• Commitment to team-oriented outcomes.
