About the Role

As a supervisor, you’ll have the opportunity to gain experience, exposure, and rewards that fulfill your purpose and offer flexibility to balance your work and personal life. In this role, you’ll be a key player within our Tax team, working alongside subject matter experts with deep knowledge in the accounting industry. You’ll be instrumental in building strong relationships with our clients and collaborating with senior leaders to deliver quality solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform in-charge role on tax client engagements and provide planning projections for business clients and their owners.
  • Prepare complex returns with little supervision.
  • Review small to medium sized tax returns for closely held businesses and their owners.
  • Assist with identifying and researching tax issues.
  • Designate work to tax associates and tax seniors, supervise and evaluate team progress and provide feedback and solutions.
  • Be an energetic team member who strives to provide the highest quality of service.
  • Stay current with technical tax law changes.
  • Service consulting engagements with large private and public companies on an as needed project basis.
  • Complete software and training programs as required.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Licensed CPA
  • At least five years of recent public accounting experience with an emphasis in tax
  • Industry experience in automotive dealerships, real estate, construction or manufacturing is considered a plus
  • Experience with planning, compliance, research and defense
  • Strong background with Tax methodologies and techniques
  • Ability to build relationships while asking tough questions
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and client-relationship skills
