About the Position
Labor and Delivery RN Ottumwa, IA Permanent Role
The Labor and Delivery RN provides nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods, supporting safe birth experiences for mothers and newborns.
Key responsibilities
Assess and monitor laboring patients and fetal well being.
Administer medications, including induction and pain management per orders.
Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections as needed.
Provide postpartum and newborn education and support.
Document care and collaborate with obstetric providers and support staff.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
Current Iowa RN license or compact license.
Current BCLS.
