Medcor is currently seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our employer-based clinic located within a manufacturing facility in Ottumwa, IA. This part-time role focuses on occupational health and acute/episodic care in a supportive, team-oriented onsite clinic environment.
Schedule
- Monday & Thursday: 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM (CST)
- Total Hours: 8 hours per week
- Day shift only
- No nights, weekends, or on-call hours

Position Overview
The PA/NP will provide occupational health and acute onsite care while working collaboratively with:
- Medcor medical and operational leadership
- Other Medcor associates
- Key contacts within the clients corporate structure
You will work closely with on-site medical staff and a Medcor-employed oversight physician, contributing to coordinated, team-based care for this client.
Scope of Services
- Diagnosis and treatment of workers compensation injuries and illnesses
- Urgent care services
- Surveillance and regulatory exams
- Preventive and wellness services
A Typical Day Includes
- Providing high-quality clinical care and customer service
- Treating injuries and illnesses using evidence-based standards
- Building and maintaining strong internal team relationships
- Collaborating with client health, safety, environmental, HR, and benefits professionals
- Supporting wellness and preventative health initiatives
- Documenting care using state-of-the-art EMR systems
- Educating patients on medical conditions and treatment options
- Coaching patients on healthy behaviors
Required Qualifications
- Valid, unrestricted Iowa license
- Current DEA and BLS certifications
- Strong computer skills and EMR experience
- Positive, outgoing, and collaborative personality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to outstanding customer service
- Comfort working in an on-site clinic environment
Preferred (Not Required)
- Occupational health experience
- Previous work-site or employer-based clinic experience
