Our client is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to support maternal and fetal health by performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. This role plays a critical part in patient care quality, clinical efficiency, and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced OB/GYN setting.
Work Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00AM–5:00PM
- Friday: 8:00AM–12:00PM
Requirements:
- Mentor and support onboarding of new staff as needed.
- Educate patients and families on procedures, findings, and care plans.
- Input ultrasound charges and maintain required daily and monthly logs.
- Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to support efficient patient flow and care outcomes.
- Maintain exam rooms, workstations, and supplies in accordance with infection control and safety standards.
- Adapt to changing clinical priorities and patient needs in a high-volume environment.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and assist with additional clinical duties as assigned.
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams with precision while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Document patient histories, exam results, and reports in the EMR/EHR system (Athena)
Qualifications/Must-Haves:
- Current BCLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience, including general ultrasound.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.
- Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Iowa Mandatory Reporter certification for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse.
- Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent RDMS pathway.
- Ability to remain professional and flexible in high-volume or high-stress situations.
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist or RDMS credential (or registry-eligible in Ultrasound)
