Overview

Assistant District Attorney role in the 220 DISTRICT ATTORNEYS COUNCIL (DAC District 13 Fin). This is a full-time on-site role with the District Attorney’s Office for Delaware and Ottawa Counties. The office prosecutes criminals, advocates for victims, upholds justice, and ensures public safety.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant District Attorney. The Assistant District Attorney will be responsible for conducting legal research, preparing and presenting cases in court, collaborating with law enforcement agencies, and drafting legal documents on behalf of the District Attorney. The Assistant District Attorney will work closely with victims, witnesses, law enforcement officers, and other stakeholders to ensure a fair and just legal process.

Minimum Requirements

Experience is not required; we will consider newly licensed attorneys and those sitting for the July bar exams.

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to and in good standing with Oklahoma Bar Association Oklahoma Bar License
  • Knowledge of criminal law, legal issues, and the court system
  • Experience in law enforcement or criminal justice
  • Possess excellent oral advocacy, legal analysis and legal writing and editing skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation
