Full-Time Commercial Loan Quality Control Specialist

American Commercial Bank & Trust is currently seeking candidates for a FT Commercial Loan Quality Control Specialist for our downtown Ottawa Main branch office. This role is part of a team which contributes to Closing and Post-Closing Quality Control review and our document retention processes of our Commercial Loan portfolio. The Specialist will also be responsible for various tasks regarding accuracy of bank documentation, following established processes and procedures, and ensuring the Bank adheres to established policies and follows regulatory controls and guidelines.

This is a Full-Time position, 40 hours per week, 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

• Review of closed loan documentation to ensure the bank maintains a healthy loan portfolio with respect to compliance with state and federal laws, rules, regulations and sound lending policies.
• Review covenant submissions for accuracy.
• Assist in collateral tracking and updating.
• Reviews System reports for accuracy.
• Follows up on quality control document submission, and clearly communicates any issues or discrepancies found during the quality review for correction.
• Aids in exception reporting.
• Assists in taking Commercial Loan servicing/customer service calls.
• Follows all Bank policies and procedures, while exercising good judgement.
• Performs Operating system check back.
• Other duties, tasks and projects as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years prior experience with commercial loans (QC file review, loan documentation, collateral tracking, or commercial loan servicing) is helpful and preferred, but will consider other banking experience, along with a strong attention to detail, excellent research skills, and good organizational skills.
• Positive communication and relationship building skills within the commercial operations group and with others throughout the bank.
• Desire to grow knowledge of commercial loan documentation, collateral and staying abreast of compliance and regulatory updates.

• Conduct daily business and make decisions consistent with the Bank's ethical standards and within the bank's lending policies.
• Take ownership of all position responsibilities and pro-actively seek to resolve issues both independently and with the assistance of fellow team members.
• Promote teamwork within the department and bank, understanding the ultimate goal of internal customer satisfaction and diligence in ensuring a sound loan portfolio, and not individual accomplishments.
• Strong Analytical Skills, attention to detail and objective problem solver.
• Technologically savvy and proficient in Microsoft Excel.
