Courier Team Lead

Fed Ex is hiring a Courier Team Lead at their Ottawa, Ontario facility located at 2400 Sheffield Rd, Ottawa, ON K1B 5P6. This is a part-time, regular position working Monday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Note: Applicants must be fully bilingual (English/French) to qualify for this position.

To assist management in overseeing daily sort, delivery and pickup activities. Leads the sector as assigned ensuring best practices and effective operations. Models the way for hourly employees by becoming a mentor and demonstrating role model behaviour including strong communication, conflict resolution and leadership ability through Best Practices methods.

• Mentor and coach hourly employees on the job
• Apply conflict resolution skills and demonstrate leadership behaviour
• Maintain DG specialist certification and complete annual recurrency training
• Stay current on Fed Ex Best Practices and defensive driver/process updates
• Prioritize and delegate tasks in a time-sensitive manner
• Ensure compliance with Fed Ex operations and Canadian Customs regulations

• Full bilingual proficiency in English and French (mandatory)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of current Courier experience
• Valid driver's licence with a good driving record (max 2 violations/accidents in past 24 months)
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
• Good analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of Fed Ex operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an asset
• Personal Development Stream of Excel (preferred)
