altea’s pickleball facilitators support the coordination and set up of our pickleball activities. This role involves creating a welcoming and inclusive environment, introducing members to the space, sharing details about the sport, setting up members with their court, and equipment and foster a love for the game of pickleball. The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of pickleball, and the ability to engage players of different skill levels.

  • you are a pickleball expert: you have a deep understanding of pickleball rules, strategies, techniques, and trends is crucial. This knowledge allows you to effectively oversee operations, provide guidance to players and staff, and ensure a high-quality experience.

as a pickleball facilitator a typical day might include the following:

key responsibilities:

  • ensure a safe and enjoyable playing environment by monitoring games and enforcing court rules.
  • set up and take down equipment before and after each session.
  • support the day-to-day operations of the pickleball courts and equipment.
  • assist and encourage members to use the pickleball space as intended and support any customer service requests and inquiries
  • promote upcoming events and maintain positive relationships with participants to encourage community engagement.
  • collaborate with other staff to coordinate schedules and manage facility use.
  • address any issues or conflicts that may arise during play in a professional manner.
  • connect with parents or players to discuss progress or address any questions.

to land this role you need to have;

  • prior experience playing or coaching pickleball (or comparable racquet sports) is highly preferred.
  • strong knowledge of the rules, scoring, and etiquette of pickleball.
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
