As a Senior Software Developer (Backend), you will join our Professional Services team and help customers build real world embedded GUI applications using our Storyboard platform. You will collaborate with a team of developers who enjoy solving tough problems and delivering practical solutions across industries such as automotive, medical, and consumer electronics. In this role, you will design and implement reliable backend systems, support hardware integration, mentor junior developers, and work closely with clients to help them deliver intuitive user interfaces on embedded devices.

• A post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software development with strong C/C++ skills
• Experience working with embedded systems and Linux/QNX environments
• Familiarity with design patterns and version control tools (Git, SVN)
• Strong attention to detail and usability
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Knowledge of UI/UX design patterns and graphics rendering
• Familiarity with tools like Photoshop or Illustrator
• Exposure to test-driven development and automated testing
• Experience with UI frameworks such as Storyboard, Qt, XWindows, or Java
