Licensed Automotive Mechanic

• Keep shop and work areas clean.
• Service and repair customer vehicles.
• Provide estimates for tire and parts replacement on vehicles.
• Keep oil and all chemicals stocked.
• Maintain up‑to‑date inventory of all shop supplies.
• Perform and inspect vehicles for Ontario Safety Inspection.
• Report any issues to the Mechanical Supervisor.
• Complete estimate sheet (SOP) for body shop collision estimates and email them to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain equipment availability by inspecting, testing vehicles, and completing preventive maintenance such as engine tune‑ups, oil changes, tire rotation, wheel balancing, and filter replacement.
• Maintain vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints, conducting inspections, repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, and replacing parts and components.
• Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting road tests, adjusting controls and systems.
• Comply with provincial vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
• Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
• Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Contain costs by using warranties; evaluating service and parts options.

• Service Technician License is required (310S).
• Must hold a valid G Driver License.
• Knowledge and experience with routine maintenance are required.
